About Us

We are a 100% Aboriginal owned business, based In Sydney, NSW, Australia. Artist and owner Cody Raymond is a decendant of the Binda Burra Clan of the Yidinji Nation from the Cairns area of Far North Queensland. In particular the small town of Babinda south of Cairns.

With a strong background in Arts, Crafts and Performing Arts, Cody has been taught weaving techniques passed down from her elders and continues to pass on the knowledge learned to the next generation and give back to the community. 

Coiled Weaving acknowledges the Wangal People, the Traditional owners of the land on which we operate on and pay our respects to the Elders, past, present and emerging.
